The FCT Emergency Management Agency – FEMA has called on development agents to place more emphasis on people living with disabilities.

The Director, Forecast, Response and Mitigation, Lady Florence Wenegieme who represented FEMA made the remark at an event to mark the 2023 International Day for people with disabilities on Wednesday.

She called on critical stakehoders such as the department of Engineering to harmonise the concerns of those with disabilities in their infrasturactural action plans.

“We are all here because we want to make sure that there is more emphasy and attention placed on people with disabilities, all other public buildings, the road constructions, box culvets or bridges, the highways, let’s begin to make provision for people with disabilities. They should not be left out in anyway”.

The event was hosted in collaboration with FEMA, Christian Blind Mission and Sustainable Family Health Care Foundation.
