Pathfinder International, a non profit organization has recognized the FCT Emergency Management Agency,(FEMA),for its participation and commitment to Empowered Choices,(ECHO), project.
Receiving the Award in his office in Abuja, the Director General of FEMA, Alhaji Abbas Idriss commended Pathfinder International for positively impacting youths at the Durumi Area 1, IDPs settlement in the FCT.
” This is the biggest thing that you have ever done for this Nation.When we catch them young, the impact we make is so great. We will try as much as possible to support Pathfinder International to sustain what you have done,if not it will go to waste”.He said.
The DG assured on his commitment to partner with Pathfinder International in its programmes.
Earlier, the Programme Officer,Pathfinder International, Mallam Yusuf Nuhu said the Award was in recognition of FEMA’s collaboration, partnership and proper implementation exhibited by the Agency towards the ECHO project to achieve the set goal and target audience.
The ECHO project which was aimed to improve the sexual and reproductive health of adolescent in the Durumi Area 1 IDP settlement and ensuring they make healthy transitions commenced in August 2021 and elapsed in March 2022 .
