The Director-General, FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Alh. Abbas Idriss has assured residents of the capital territory of safety measures during and after the rainy season.
The DG made the remarks during a courtesy visit by the Abuja Operational Office of National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA at FEMA headquarters on Wednesday 1st September 2021.
According to the Abuja Regional Coordinator of NEMA Mr. Justin Uwazoruonye, the visit was necessitated to strengthen existing partnerships, enhance capacity building, look into assessment patterns through holistic collaboration and identify a solution-based approach to the upcoming dry season which is bedeviled by fire incidences.
“The only way to work effectively and see the result is by building collaborations as this is our strength, We are doing everything within our manpower level to ensure that Abuja is safe; our rescue team is always working and ready round the clock at any point,” the DG said.
Alh. Abbas assured the NEMA team of FEMA’s commitment to every collaborative measure put in place for the safety of residents of Abuja.
